Greeter Instructions

1. Please arrive NO LATER than 25 minutes before your scheduled worship service.
2. Wear your name tag, or if you do not have one, make one from the supply in the
   Guest Book Stand. ALSO, wear a magnetic “GREETER” pin found on the magnetic
   Board in the USHER’S stand.
3. Make sure BOTH sanctuary doors are propped open.
4. Stand beside the “Guest Book” stand located in the middle of the Narthex.
5. As people progress to the sanctuary, make eye contact and offer a warm smile.
   Handshakes are optional.
6. Remind members to wear their nametags.
7. Make guests and members aware of the sign-up sheets on the table for various activities coming up.
8. Simple greetings include:
   1. “Welcome”
   2. “Good Morning”
   3. “Glad you are here today”
   4. “My name is ________, what is yours?”
   5. “Thank you for being here today”
9. Have visitors sign our Guest Book and give them a copy of our current “Voice” found
   found in the rack on either side of the “Guest Stand”.
10. Be seated when the Confession of Sins begins.
