Asante Children's Choir at GLC on August 23 at 7 PM
The Asante Children's Choir is made up of children from East Africa, a region recovering from years of civil war and genocide leaving thousands of widows and orphans. The choir spreads hope and love while raising awareness of their plight. Their stories will inspire hope in you!
Admission is free, but there will be a free will donation to support their ministry.
Worship at Peck Farm August 24 at 10 AM
Access to the church will be seriously impacted by the Concours car show in downtown Geneva on August 24 so the 9 AM service is cancelled. We will meet at Peck Farm on the west side of Geneva for 'camp' style worship. Surrounded by God's creation we'll celebrate with familiar songs, God's Word and the Lord's Supper!
Worship with Children
At Geneva Lutheran we value families being together in worship. We spend much of our week divided and rushed, and look forward to the pace of worship and sharing sacred rituals with our children. Practicing faith together makes families stronger. There are 'busy bags' and a chapel space at the back of the Sanctuary where our newly mobile members can move freely while still being in a special space.
Having children in worship raises the noise level some Sundays, but also brings a beautiful energy and above all, hope! So pack up your special 'church snack' and find a place where your whole family is welcome!
