Council meetings are held at GLC at 7:30 PM on the second Monday of each month.  All are welcome

to attend and participate in our discussions!

ELCA Sexuality Study

As you may have heard in the news the ELCA has been considering blessing homosexual

unions and ordaining ministers in committed homosexual relationships.  Council strongly

encourges everyone to learn about what is being proposed here. 

Here are some resources:

• ELCA's website (includes links to the proposed draft social statement)

• Holding the line: Word Alone Network and Lutheran CORE.

The ELCA would like feedback on this process.  A timeline of the decision process is available

here (in PDF format).   Council members have already submitted their individual responses

to the proposed social statement (or will soon do so).  We encourage everyone in our

congregation to provide feedback to the ELCA.  Council is also considering sending a written

response to the ELCA as well.  Discuss this with a council member or send us an e-mail, we

would like to hear your thoughts on this imporant matter.
