Visiting Geneva Lutheran

All are welcome to join us for weekly worship.

Our worship style is what most would call traditional, but you'll hear more variety than the word 'traditional' can express; the words and actions of worship connect us to Christians around the world and to those in the past and present.   When events happen that are beyond our understanding and beyond our control, the words spoken in worship transcend this moment in time, reminding us how big God is.  The children's sermon, sermon, music and fellowship help us to explore the many ways God connects to our daily lives.  There is no dress code or list of requirements; come as you are- and then, refreshed, head back out into the heart of our community!

Worship with Children

At Geneva Lutheran we value families being together in worship.  We spend much of our week divided and rushed, and look forward to the pace of worship and sharing sacred rituals with our children.  Practicing faith together makes families stronger. There are 'busy bags' and a chapel space at the back of the Sanctuary where our newly mobile members can move freely while still being in a special space.  We also have a staffed nursery for our wiggliest worshippers (12-36 months).

Having children in worship raises the noise level some Sundays, but also brings a beautiful energy and above all, hope!   So pack up your special 'church snack' and find a place where your whole family is welcome!

Summer Worship

Our worship schedule does not change in the summer (see exceptions below)- but the pace of our lives does.  Come a little early and take a walk by the river before the 9 or 10:30 AM service, head down to the French Market two blocks south of the church to buy a treat or some fresh vegetables or flowers.  Come on Saturday evening and enjoy an ice cream cone or go for a motorcycle ride with others from church.   Let summer worship give you sabbath rest!

Special Services: We will have a single service on the following Sundays (Saturday is always indoors and always at 5 PM):

June 26 9:30 AM  Polka Service (outside)

July 3 9:30 AM Patriotic Service (outside)
